Want to know a great way to encourage your website visitors to take action? Today’s Online Success Minute discusses call-to-actions. I am Janice Gentles-Jones, your Online Success Guide.
The best way to get website visitors to take action on your website is to tell them what you want them to do next. On every page, there should be some action that this person should take.
Two Ways To Add Call-To-Actions
A great way to show call-to-actions is by using graphics that communicate what you want the person to do next. You can even use regular text, but make sure that it stands out like putting maybe a background color, something that’s going to call attention to it.
Even if you use small text in bold and italics, we just want something that’s there that’s telling the person what you want them to do next. So whatever you decide, it should be visible throughout your website and placed on all your web pages.
A great example of a site using call-to-action throughout their entire website is dailyworth.com. Take a look when you get a chance and answer this question. Besides reading their articles, what action do they want you to take? Notice you’re going to see this throughout their entire site.
Now go back and look at your website and see what you can do to make it clear what your website visitors should do next.
That’s it for today’s Online Success Minute, I am Janice Gentles-Jones, your Online Success Guide.
