Description
Autoresponders are an automated response that goes out to prosiects and clients. They are a great way to automate communications. You can have autoresponders that send out a special report, series of e-classes or just a thanks for signing up response.
Step By Step
Note: You must have at least one subscriber list created in order to proceed with the instructions below.
1) Click Components.
2) Click Acajoom.
3) Click Auto-responders.
4) In the Select a List drop-down box, select the list that is to be associated with this autoresponder.

5) Click the New button on the Acajoom toolbar to open the Edit A Autoresponder window.

6) In the Subject textbox, enter the subject of your autoresponder email.
7) In the Delay (in days) textbox, enter the amount of days the system should wait to send the email.
Tip: Enter 0 if you want the email to be sent as soon as the subscriber signs up.
Usually the first email in the autoresponder series is set to 0.
8) Type the content of the email in the Text Editor area.
Note: You will see the template you created for your list in the Text Editor area.

Tip: You can personalize your email by adding TAGS to your content. Below is list of available tags:
[NAME] = This will be replaced by the name the subscriber entered, you'll be sending personalized email when using this. [FIRSTNAME] = This will be replaced by the FIRST name of the subscriber entered. [ISSUENB] = This will be replaced by the issue number of the newsletter. [DATE] = This will be replaced by the sent date. [CBTAG:{field_name}] = This will be replaced by the value taken from the Community Builder field: eg. [CBTAG:firstname]
9) On the Description tab, verify and update the settings, if necessary.

| PUBLISHED: This field allows you to publish or not publish your list. You won't be able to subscribe a user to an unpublished list and you won't be able to send Newsletters to an unpublished list. |

| VISIBLE IN FRONTEND: This field allows you to show or not your list on the frontend of your website. If you set this option to ‘No', your list won't be showed on the frontend (in your module for example). |

| SENDER NAME: This field shows the name that will display in the "From" area when the autoresponder is sent to the subscriber. Acajoom will use the default name that was entered in the Acajoom configuration area. | |
| SENDER EMAIL ADDRESS: This field shows the email address that will be used to send the autoresponder. Acajoom will use the default email address that was entered in the Acajoom configuration area. | |
| SENDER REPLY ADDRESS: This field shows the email address that will be used if the subscriber want to reply to the autoresponder. Acajoom will use the default email address that was entered in the Acajoom configuration area. | |
| CREATOR OF THE LIST: This is the ID of the user who will receive the report via e-mail. It automatically takes the value of the last user who modify the subscriber list and saved it. |
10) Click on the Content tab if you want to add content from your website in your autoresponder email.

FULL ARTICLE: Select this option if you want to add a full article to this email. INTRO ONLY: Select this option if you want to add the Intro Text only of an article to this email. TITLE ONLY: Select this option to add the title only of an article to this email. |

| CONTENT TAG: This is the ID number of an article you want to add to this email. A list of all the articles on your website is displayed below the content tag. |
11) Select one of the following options if you are adding content from your website to this email: Full Article, Intro Only, Title Only.
12) Click on an article to add its content tag to this textbox.
Tip: You can add multiple articles. Hold the SHIFT or CTRL key on your keyboard to select multiple files.
13) Click on the Attachments tab if you want to attach a file to this email.

14) Click the Browse button to browse for the file you want to attach to this email.
15) Select the file you want to upload and click the Open button.
16) Click Save to save this email.
Tip: Click the Preview button to see a preview of your email. When you're in Preview mode you'll have the ability to send a test email to yourself.
17) Repeat 5-16 if you have more emails to add to your autoresponder series.
